Transition Modality 過渡情態 is three series of drawings, teapots, and tiles created by Brian Molanphy in residencies at Cloud Forest, Qing Yao 清窯, & Bei Jiao Da 北教大 (NTUE, National Taipei University of Education 國立臺北教育大學). Flowers, vases, & teapots are fluid containers –both giving form to fluid while being themselves fluid—on a small scale reflecting the fluidity of the larger scale of the tropical & mountainous Taiwanese landscape, always in transition through water & culture, through ink & clay.
